Product Review: Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Orange Icon

Hello There!

We are sure all you girls reading this post love lipsticks as much as we do. But if you are one of those who are not sure about wearing lipsticks. We have something that will appeal both kind. Maybelline has recently launched lipsticks in their ColorShow range. We all are well aware of the amazing nail enamels that they have in this range.  So we decided to give the ColorShow Lipsticks a try and see whether they live upto the expectations.

Orange is the color of the season and I wasnt sure whether I'll like it long enough to spend a big part of my pocket money on. And then came the new collection of Maybelline India and they host the perfect orange that I had been looking for. And wait I haven't told you the best part yet! It is priced at just Rs.299. Yes, you heard me right 299! and the orange is only one of the amazing 32 shades that they have launched. The shade that we tried and are going to review for you is Orange Icon

The packaging is not something that will catch your eye. But well you can't expect a classy packaging at just Rs. 299. It is a simple black plastic packaging. But they also make your life much simpler by adding a plastic band which represents the Color family of your lipstick, in our case it was Orange. Another thing that I really like about this color is that it is not a striking orange but it has a slight coral undertone which makes it suitable for most Indian skin tones.

The texture of the lipstick is really smooth and it glides on perfectly leaving no scope for your lips to feel dry. Therefore, making the lipstick of perfect consistency. However, the one drawback I find is that the lipstick has a glossy feel to it and it not matte. So its a big NO for people who are all about the Matte finish. The pigmentation of the lipstick is really good. It leaves a good color with single application and leave no scope for multiple applications. Though those of you looking to add a pop of color to your lips a maximum of second application would be required. The lipstick does not hold good while eating and does transfer.  It also has a strong fruity fragrance, I personally dont mind it but I know people who are not very fond of the smell too.

In the end, we would really recommend you all to try this range. It is totally worth the money and I am sure will help a lot of you build up on your lipstick collection.
