Product Review: Sebastian Penetraitt Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi Guys,

Hope you all had crazy fun this weekend. I'm sure most of you who has read our previous post on the Keratin treatment are wondering how my hair looks now, whether it is still straight, manageable etc.! So I thought I'd write about the status of my hair and the effect of Sebastian Penetraitts shampoo and conditioner on my hair!

So about the hair, it is not as straight as it was the previous month, however it is still very very manageable and my time taken to blow dry or straighten my hair has reduced by 50%. Infant in just 15 mins I can have silky straight hair as opposed to an hour of blow drying.

As I had written in the previous post that my hair stylist at Affinity Salon had suggested the Sebastian Penetraitt Shampoo and Conditioner. Well first things first, I don't think the effect of this shampoo justifies the price. While washing the hair with the shampoo your hair feels extremely rough and your fingers can barely run through your hair. The second wash makes it a little better. The good and bad part about the shampoo is that it lathers a lot and therefore you know that it is heavily dosed with surfactants.

The conditioner on the other hand, is thick, moisturises the hair thoroughly and leaves a refreshing smell. A few weeks back in a hurry I forgot to condition my hair and it was a complete complete disaster.

Although I'm supposed to use no other shampoo and conditioner other then Sebastian Penetraitt, I have more than once tried my force vector and there was no change to my hair. In fact the effect was much much better:

Together the shampoo and the conditioner is priced at INR 3300. It's definitely not worth the price. I am still looking for cheaper alternatives that would suit my treated hair, however for the time being my usual shampoo is working well.

  1. Nicely reviewed. Thanks for the review.

  2. I have used the shampoo and didn't like it too. Disappointing for the price!
