Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks (Ravishing Rose and Divine Wine) Swatches and Review

2017 is a year of new launches especially in terms of makeup. Maybelline is back with a lot of new launches this year, starting from the Rock Nudes palette, the falsies push up mascara and now the Creamy Matte Lipsticks. I am waiting to get my hands on the Mascara but I am on a "no buying makeup ban" for sometime.

In this post I'll be talking about the Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick in the shade Ravishing Rose and Divine Wine. These Lipsticks are priced at Rs. 575.

These lipsticks had launched in the US, maybe a year ago and I had seen a lot of bloggers there raving about them. I couldn't wait to get my hands on them! The Touch of Spice is though one of the most popular shades from the range. I realized I don't have that shade when I sat to write this review for you girls. I will order that soon, but hey! I am on my No buying makeup man! You see I already have 2 items in my cart! :P

The shade Ravishing Rose is a dusty rose pink. It has really strong cool tones. This shade is not a great choice for dark Indian Skin tones. It is a great shade for people with light skin-tones. As you can see in the picture, it does wash me out. I can still work this shade after mixing it with some nude, but it wouldn't work for anyone who has a darker skin tone than mine.

The shade Divine Wine is a deep wine shade. It is one of the darkest shades in the collection. I absolutely love this shade. It instantly brightens my face and would look good on all Indian skin tones. It is a perfect shade for those vampy looks.

The packaging of the Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks is very similar to the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks, only difference being the frosted violet caps.

The texture of these lipsticks as the name suggests is very creamy and super comfortable on the lips. It is not like the usual matte lipsticks which leave your lips feeling super dry. It has a really good colour payoff, one can go ahead with two to three swipes to get the lipstick's true colour. The lipsticks also not settle into the fine lines and stays on my lips for a good four to five hours,

I really like the formula of this range, if you are someone who is not comfortable with the formula of most matte lipsticks then you'd really love this one. I highly recommend to get your hands on this one!

All in all love the formula and can't wait to try more shades from this range.
